Deana has been an attorney with Martin, Jones & Piemonte for over fifteen years and currently focuses her practice on federal appellate brief writing for Social Security disability clients. She brings extensive experience in complex administrative law matters and is dedicated to advocating for individuals navigating the disability process.
Prior to her current role, Deana practiced Veterans Law, where she represented hundreds of clients before the Veterans Administration and the Board of Veterans’ Appeals. Her work in this area reflects a longstanding commitment to serving those who have served our country.
Deana is licensed to practice law in both North Carolina and South Carolina.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Charlotte School of Law.
A native of Point Pleasant, New Jersey, Deana has called Charlotte home since 1991. She has been married to her husband for over thirty-five years, and together they have two adult children. Her strong connection to military service runs deep – she is the daughter of a Navy veteran, the granddaughter-in-law of a World War II and Korean War veteran, and the mother of a commissioned officer in the United States Army.
Deana is deeply committed to and passionate about representing individuals with disabilities, bringing both skill and compassion to her advocacy.
